I needed additional inspiration for this week’s soaping challenge and turned to etsy and the blogosphere for help. Take a look at a few of my finds. All of these are original, creative and absolutely beautiful.
1. Soap For Your Soul – Herbal Sunshine
2. Soap for Your Soul – Space Cowboy
3. Castle Lake Studio Soap – My Tree
4. El Arte de Jabon – Marrakesh
Until next time – bon savon!
I love looking at photos of soap. Glycerin, cold process - it makes no difference to me. I love to see how other soap artists swirl, layer, and embed their creations. I’m always curious – did the fragrance inspire the design or maybe a special ingredient? For me, it’s usually fragrance.
This weekend, as I browsed the internet, I realized that I was gravitating to images that made me think of Spring. Here are four images that stood out.
1. Pearberry handmade cold process vegan friendly soap from Sherri’s Scents and Soys. I love the hint of pink in the swirl.
2. Citrus Sage Soap by Soap For Your Soul. Look how the orange pops against the dark green.
3. Rosemary Mint Soap by Joan’s Garden. What lovely swirls.
4. Cucumber Green Tea. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to track this photo back to the original source. If anyone recognizes the image, please let me know. I’d like to credit the soap artist. She (or he) did a beautiful job. The swirls are so delicate.
What colors or fragrances make you think of Spring? Until next time – bon savon!
