Have you ever lost your mojo?  You know – when you can’t seem to successfully do something that you are usually really good at.  That is how I’ve felt in the last couple of weeks.  I lost my soap mojo – things just weren’t working.

To break the cycle (and regain my mojo) I decided that I needed a fun and simple project that guaranteed success.  I give you – confetti soap.

Earlier in the week I whipped up several bars of different colored soap that I cut or shaved into the soapy chunks and curls you see in the photo above.  Now, my fun (and rather simple soap) needed a complimenting fragrance.  Nature’s Garden’s monkey farts fit the bill.   I know what you’re thinking (no need to say it out loud) – but this crudely named fragrance smells wonderful.  Just imagine everything a monkey would eat.  It is a blend of fresh bananas, juicy grapefruit, kiwi, strawberries, and a touch of vanilla.  It’s sweet, fruity, and my 11-year-old niece LOVES it.

The soap is definitely fun, and the recipe is no joke.  This soap was formulated using olive oil, coconut oil, palm kernel, castor, shea butter and rice bran oil.  It has a fluffy lather and great moisturizing properties.   I’ve already got another project in mind for this recipe.

If you’d like to own a bar of your own, feel free to contact me.

Until next time – bon savon!
